A barbers, not a salon

What it says above the door is what you get: traditional Turkish barbers, on the High Road, open when you are likely to be free.

What to expect when you walk in

You open the door, you see who is waiting, and you take the next seat. Nobody will ask you for a name or a booking reference, because there is no diary to put it in. When it is your turn you sit down and we sort out what you want before anything is switched on.

If you have been before and you liked what you got, say so and we will do that again. If you have been before and something was not right, say that instead. It is easier for everyone to fix a length while you are in the chair than to talk about it three weeks later.

The Turkish part of it

Plenty of places will cut your hair. Fewer will sit you down for a proper hot towel shave, or take the time to line a beard so it matches the fade rather than fighting it. That is the difference the sign is pointing at, and it is why the shave and beard work get as much room here as the cutting does.

Why we are open seven days

Most people want a haircut at the point when they cannot easily get one: a Sunday afternoon, or after work on a Friday. So the shop is open every day of the week, from 8am on Fridays and Saturdays, and through to 4pm on Sundays. The full week is at the bottom of every page.

We are one shop on one street in Beeston. We do not travel, we do not have branches, and the same people are behind the chairs week in and week out. If you move here and want somewhere to go for the next few years, that is what we are for.

Come in when it suits you

There is nothing to book. We are on High Road opposite the Sainsbury's, open from 9am most mornings and until 4pm on a Sunday. Ring first if you want to know how busy we are.
